Manager of Behavioral Health

The Manager of Behavioral Health oversees the day-to-day activities of the Behavioral Health Department. They monitor the quality of services and productivity standards under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Location: Hybrid (40% remote based on approval)

Pay: $70,000 - $85,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians, conduct performance evaluations, and assign caseloads according to departmental needs.

  • Maintain frequent communication and collaboration with team members. 

  • Supports the CMO in all administrative tasks for the behavioral health department and supports the budget requirements outlined in each FY budget process and the annual strategic plan initiatives. 

  • Staff Supervision to include, yet not limited to

    • Recruit and retain appropriately qualified personnel to provide services in Behavioral Health.

    • Hiring, performance management, timekeeping duties, productivity management, and compliance training were among the tasks completed.

    • Develop and implement staff training, recruitment, and professional development.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Leadership to:

    • Develop, refine, and implement program requirements and policies

    • Create appropriate programs/services when indicated 

    • Ensure the highest standards of quality and service

  • Participate in continuous quality improvement reviews and initiatives as needed.

  • Participate in the Risk Quarterly Committee.

  • Maintain a caseload of clients, per department need, and provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic services (50% clinical and 50% administrative).

Qualifications:
  • Required Master’s degree in Psychology with 5+ years post-licensure experience providing care and counseling to psychiatric populations.

  • Required at least three years of supervisory experience and the ability to lead, direct, and manage clinical staff.

  • Required a minimum of one year managing a behavioral health team.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of cultural issues, community resources, and family dynamics.

  • Knowledge of laws and ethical standards related to clinical care.

  • The ability to speak a language(s) similar to the populations we serve is preferred (Urdu, Bosnian, Spanish).

  • Compliance with organizational TB and Influenza vaccination policies is required.
