Ghazala Fayyaz, MD

Dr. Ghazala Fayyaz is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of experience providing comprehensive psychiatric care to diverse patient populations. She has dedicated much of her career to serving communities throughout the Chicago area and has extensive experience in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, and integrated care.

Dr. Fayyaz completed her General Psychiatry residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, following completion of her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Nawabshah Medical College in Pakistan. She successfully completed all three USMLE examinations and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also licensed to practice medicine in Illinois.

Since 2011, Dr. Fayyaz has been a psychiatrist with Hamdard Healthcare, where she has provided behavioral health services to patients and families in the Chicago metropolitan area. Her career also includes leadership and clinical experience with Advance Psychiatry and Counseling, Tamid Medical Group, Professional Psychiatry Inc. and other healthcare organizations.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Fayyaz gained valuable research and clinical experience through positions with the Psychiatric Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago, in affiliation with the University of Chicago, as well as Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. She also served as a Medical Officer at Hajira Medical and Psychiatric Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan.

Dr. Fayyaz is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care and to addressing the behavioral health needs of the communities she serves. Her extensive clinical experience, international medical background, and long-standing commitment to Hamdard Healthcare have made her a valued member of the organization’s behavioral health team. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
